Jesse Carrillo is responsible for directing all corporate technology, strategy and standards for Hines worldwide. Jesse joined Hines in 1994 as a consultant to assist in the implementation of the firm's accounting and property management software. After being made a full-time employee in 1995, he was promoted to Director of Application Development in 2001, where he held the lead role in the implementation of Hines¹ ERP system. He took over the responsibility for Hines IT as CTO in 2007 and later promoted to CIO in 2009. Mr. Carrillo completed undergraduate studies at Trinity University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Mr. Carrillo is a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA), CIO Executive Council, Greater Houston Partnership’s Cybersecurity Task Force, Houston Society of Information Management (SIM) and serves on the Realcomm International Advisory Council after having served as co-chair in 2010. He was a featured writer for the book, Building a Green IT Team, part of the Inside the Minds series from Aspatore Publishers. He is also a strong supporter of promoting Youth In IT through his involvement with the Genesys Works (http://www.genesysworks.org) and Citizen Schools (http://www.citizenschools.org) programs.
A seasoned professional who understands the changing tides of global real estate technology, Dipesh Shah serves as InvenTrust’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. His experience delivering complex software solutions, implementing technology best practices and adapting to the rapidly evolving technology environment makes him an experienced leader with a finger on the pulse of where technology advancements are in the industry.
Before InvenTrust, Shah was a Senior Vice President of Information Technology for Jones Lang LaSalle where he was responsible for the company’s proprietary client delivery technology platform. While at Jones Lang LaSalle, he delivered a global initiative, breaking new ground in Business Intelligence and Integrated technology; experience Shah brings with him to manage InvenTrust’s growing technology platforms. His Corporate Technology management experience includes Equity Office Properties, one of the largest office REITs in the US, along with consulting experience gained at Onyx Software and Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture).
Shah is a Project Management Professional certified by the Project Management Institute; a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Corenet and the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate; and he is an active member of RealComm. Shah graduated from the Honors program at Loyola University in Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Economics. His Master of Science in Information Systems Management is also from Loyola University.
Geoffrey Kasselman, SIOR, LEED AP, serves as an executive managing director at NGKF where he leads the company’s National Industrial Practice from its Chicago office. In this capacity, he guides the direction and expansion of the firm’s industrial brokerage capabilities across North America, including supporting various data center projects and promoting the benefits of sustainability, technology and innovation for the sector.
Mr. Kasselman is an innovation-minded futurist focused on harnessing transformative disruption and technology convergence in order to bring actionable ROI to the CRE industry. He has traveled the globe studying smart buildings and smart cities, provides mentoring to several tech startups and sits on various tech firm advisory boards, and is an accomplished speaker and author on an array of topics at the intersection of CRE and technology. He recently gave the Keynote Address to the National Academy of Sciences’ Transportation Research Board on Transportation and Mobility. He also serves as CEO and Founder of Op2mize Energy, a strategic energy procurement firm.
Mr. Kasselman has recently begun a one-year term as the 2017 Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR) Global President. SIOR was founded in 1941 by the US Government to help secure industrial facilities in support of the World War II effort. In this regard, SIOR has been servicing the commercial real estate industry for over 75 years. In this volunteer role, Kasselman leads the preeminent non-profit commercial real estate services organization in an array of strategic and global initiatives while acting as an ambassador and discussing the many benefits of becoming a SIOR designee.
Chad Curry is managing director for the National Association of Realtors’ Center for Realtor Technology and CRTLabs. He educates NAR’s million-plus members through his surveys, blogs and webinars on emerging housing topics and real estate technology. Curry likes to interact with agents while educating, with a weekly Facebook Live broadcast to share opinions and answer questions on emerging topics like block-chain or the internet of things.
As an Account Platform Manager, Thea Button works with Cushman & Wakefield’s (C&W) transaction management professionals and their client partners to develop transaction management tools and processes to drive effective and efficient transactions throughout client portfolios. She also identifies, creates and/or implements best practices and educational opportunities across the C&W Transaction Management Platform and guides transaction management client transitions and transformations.
In 2011, Thea began her career at C&W in Brokerage Services in New York City and moved to the Global Occupier Services’ (GOS) Transaction Management team in 2012. In GOS, Thea has been involved with client accounts both nationally and internationally across industries as diverse as Financial and Professional Services, Pharmaceuticals, and Telecommunications. Most recently, she has focused on the Transaction Management Platform to implement platform improvements and best practices across the Americas.
Deena is an award-winning broker who has worked in the real estate industry since 2004. Deena has a focused interest in tenant representation and specializes in finding high quality sites throughout Chicagoland and surrounding areas for national operators, franchisees, and first-time entrepreneurs.
Deena began her career as a top-producing agent focusing on property leasing and sales at The Lord Companies, after which she joined Helios Commercial Realty until they joined forces with Jameson Commercial in 2010. Prior to her transition into commercial brokerage, she worked for a real estate trade publication, forming close relationships with downtown developers, banks, and brokerages.
Deena’s brings a consistent, positive, and update attitude with an honest and straightforward approach to each and every assignment. Her skills in negotiating and her attention to detail have proven to be invaluable to all parties in a transaction. She understands what it takes to get the transaction done with extensive experience representing both landlords and tenants.

In addition to her work with Jameson Commercial Real Estate, Deena has built an extensive network of contacts with her involvement in several organizations on both the local and national levels. Deena most recently served as Chair of Illinois Young Professionals Network (YPN), which lead to the National Network of the Year award. She is also the current chair of the Illinois Association of Realtors Commercial, Industrial, Investment committee and was honored by IAR in 2013 with the Outstand Service Award.
Deena is a member of the 2014 class of the National Association of Realtors Leadership Academy, she is also an advisory member of Realtors to the Rescue and a member of the National Association of Realtors Finance Committee. She was 2010-2011 President of the Chicago Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors and was named their member of the year in 2012. Deena is also a mentor for the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative through Roosevelt University.
She was also honored by Chicago Agent Magazine in July 2012 as one of 50 Chicago Powerhouses in their annual “Who’s Who” issue and was chosen as the only female commercial agent. She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the recipient of the 2012 National Association of Realtors National Commercial Award.
She is also honored and proud to have received the 2012 Realtor Achievement award by the Chicago Association of Realtors, of which she is also a member of their Board of Directors.
Deena earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Minnesota in 1997.
Alaina McVey, is a Senior Manager in Global Real Estate Advisory for NOI Strategies, A Division of CohnReznick. Alaina has over twelve years of commercial real estate industry experience with over six years of focused technology and business process management consulting expertise. She partners with real estate companies to optimize business processes and align them with world-class technology platforms. Alaina is responsible for the creation and delivery of strategic roadmaps for many of NOI’s clients, as well as developing data driven system selections, investment management process improvements and data management strategies.
Before joining NOI Strategies, Alaina was an Assistant Vice President at Harrison Street Real Estate Capital. At Harrison Street, she was responsible for assessing process improvement needs for HSRE and HSRE real estate operating partners. Within the acquisitions group of Harrison Street, she was responsible for sourcing, analyzing and closing over $400 million of transactions.
Alaina also has debt side transaction experience through working at RBS Greenwich Capital and LaSalle bank as a commercial real estate lender for fixed and floating rate loans.
Additionally, she earned a B.A. degree in Finance from Michigan State University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Beth Linn is the Principal of Wrightwood Financial. Beth was most recently an Investment Manager with Equity Group Investments, Sam Zell’s privately held investment firm. Beth’s experience includes roles with Helix Funds and LaSalle Investment Management. She began her career at Prudential Financial and Capital One Financial.
Beth holds an M.B.A. from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Bucky Beeman is a forward thinking Commercial Real Estate agent! He loves social media and how you can apply it to a generally old school industry.
