An exploration of workplace and office real estate through a future back thinking perspective.
In a collaboration with Futurist Joseph Press and Institute for the Future, this event is designed around the groundbreaking new book Office Shock. This, book which just launched in January 2023, employs a future-back thinking approach to strategizing the fundamentals of better working and living. During this event we’ll explore two parts of this book through two unique and dynamic roundtables. As we strive to make content widely accessible, the audience will have an opportunity to watch the roundtables live via Linkedin & Youtube.

AGENDA
9AM-10:30AM PART 1
A look into the principles of future back thinking will kick off the morning. What is future back thinking and how does it compel decision making today? We’ll then begin discussion focused on two chapters of the new book Office Shock:
Cultivating Community: The Spectrum of Belonging
Coordinating With Clarity: The Spectrum of Agility
. Roundtable participants will be given book chapters in advance and share their perspectives with each other through conversation and debate. This roundtable should help attendees expand their thinking around the possibilities of working and living, today and long into the future.
BREAK
10:45AM-12PM PART 2
How do we take the foundation of future back thinking to make real decisions for the present? This roundtable will focus on Part 3 of the new book Office Shock and in particular, the following chapters:
Personal Choices: How You Can Navigate Office Shock
Organizational Choices: How Your Organization Can Navigate Office Shock
Our roundtable participants will blend their own perspectives with those from the book to shed light on how they are setting strategies for today.
